Temper Line

Temper Line

The tempering process, which is meticulously carried out in our facility, is the process of heating the glass to a degree close to the softening point and rapidly cooling it to give strength to the glass surface. Tempered glass, which is approximately 5 times more durable than glass without heat treatment, is suitable for use as safety glass because it reduces the risk of injury by breaking into pieces without sharp corners the size of dice when broken. Tempering also increases the strength and resistance to thermal stresses.

Tempered glass cannot be cut, drilled, edged or surface treated.

Our factory has a NORTHGLASS temper line. We can temper up to 4200 X 2440 max. dimensions.
